City of Mertzon City Council Meeting Minutes January 27, 2025 Regular City Council Meeting Those Present: Mayor:Aubrey Stewart Council Members: Employees: Danny Crutchfield Michele Rabenaldt, City Administrator Mayor Pro-Tem: Randy Councilman Steve Thompson, Operations Supervisor Jayton Lindley The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Mayor Aubrey Stewart, with quorum present. Opening prayer was given by Councilman Crutchfield. Pledge of Allegiance and Salute to the Texas Flag were recited by all in attendance. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None SWEAR IN NEW COUNCILMEMBERS: Councilman Lindley made a motion to approve Daniel Harper to fill an empty council member seat. Councilman Councilman seconded. All in favor. Motion passed. ACCEPT RESIGNATION OF COUNCILMEMBER: Councilman Councilman made a motion to accept the written resignation of councilman Charlene Holland. Councilman Crutchfield seconded. All in favor. Motion passed. REPAIRS ONNEW W/S OFFICEAND OFFICE EQUIPMENT: Councilman Lindley made a motion to get a quote from Airtech for repairs on the office heater. Councilman Councilman seconded. All in favor. Motion passed. PAVILLION. AT SPRING CREEK: Councilman Lindley made a motion to allow the Lions Club to donate manpowerand material to build a pavilion at Spring Creek. With proper approval of the placement by the City's engineers and TCEQ regulations. Counçilman Harper seconded. All in favor. Motion passed. FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS: Councilman Lindley made a motion to approve all financial documents. Councilman Crutchfield seconded. All in favor, motion passed. DAILY OPERATIONS UPDATE: Information presented by Operations Supervisor Steve Thompson 1. Installed new water line and meter at 207 E. James. 2. Fixed water leaks on the main line at 411 W. Main 3. Back filled meter boxes. 4. Rounds 20 times. 5. Installed 23 new smart meters. 6. Filled chlorine tanks x3. 7. Installed 80 ft of 2 in line and new 2 in meter and shut off on James Street. 8. Took water samples to the lab. 9. Worked on WWTP: x8. 10. Took BOD samples to the lab. 11. Changed oil in the backhoe, worked on the welder. 12. City Wide clean up. 13. Picked up abandoned dog. 14.
