Langford: Patricia Langford, Finance Director, reported on the financial status of several departments within the City. Mrs. Langford stated that many departments are doing well, specifically the utility department and airport, as well as the golf course. The utility department has seen an increase in water sales, while the airport has had an increase injet fuel sales. The "unrestricted" cash balance over 90-day reserve has a balance of$1,065,163 CONSENT AGENDA: 6.1) Approval of the January 14, 2025 Regular Meeting Minutes Council Member Joyce Laudenschlager moved to approve the consent agenda as presented. Archer AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURNET, TEXAS, AMENDING POLICY 8.07 VACATION LEAVE OF THE CITY'S PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL BY UPDATING AND CLARIFYING REQUIREMENTS Council Member Ricky Langley made a motion to approve Ordinance No. 2025-05 as presented. Council Member Philip Thurman seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. 8.2) Discuss and consider action: Ordinance No. 2025-04: D. Vaughn AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURNET, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURES OF PUBLIC FUNDS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ELECTRIC INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THE CREEKFALL SUBDIVISION AND AUTHORIZING THE RECOUPING OF THE PROPORTIONATE SHARE OF SUCH EXPENDITURES FROM THE DEVELOPERS OF CREEKFALL PHASES 3,4. 5, AND 6 Council Member Philip Thurman made a motion to approve Ordinance No. 2025-04 as presented. McBurnett RESOLUTION: BY THE CITY OF BURNET, TEXAS ("CITY") DENYING THE INCREASE IN RATES PROPOSED BY ATMOS ENERGY CORPORATION IN ITS MID-TEX DIVISION FILED ON ABOUT DECEMBER 16, 2024; AUTHORIZING INTERVENTION IN PROCEEDINGS RELATED TO ATMOS ENERGY'S APPLICATION TO INCREASE RATES; AUTHORIZING SPECIAL COUNSEL TO REPRESENT THE CITY IN MATTERS RELATED TO ATMOS ENERGY'S PROPOSED INCREASE IN RATES: DIRECTING ATMOS TO REIMBURSE RATE CASE EXPENSES; FINDING THAT THE MEETING COMPLIES WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS ACT: MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT: AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE Council Member Ricky Langley made a motion to approve Resolution R2025-07 as presented. Langford A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURNET, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE USE OF COUNCIL RESTRICTED FUNDS FOR GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE PROJECTS Council Member Philip Thurman made a motion to approve Resolution R2025-08 as presented. Council Member Tommy Gaut seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. EXECUTIVE SESSION: None.
