General Business Item #7 regarding a proposal for railing around the smoking area was heard next but removed with no action taken. 25.0121.053 Motion by Commissioner Beauchamp and seconded by Commissioner Fincannon to approve Waggoner Carpet One Floor/Home quote for $10,504.60 for carpet replacement for the Adult Probation Suite to be paid from Permanent Improvement with line(s) determined by the County Auditor. Motion carried unanimously. 25.0121.054 Motion by Commissioner Beauchamp and seconded by Commissioner Fincannon to approve Marrs Patriot Construction, Wichita County Iowa Park Annex Proposal Request #3 to install 3" conduit underground from the pole to the interior ofthe building at an additional cost of $9,162.50 to be paid from Permanent Improvement with line(s) determined by the County Auditor. Motion carried unanimously. 25.0121.056 Motion by Commissioner Beauchamp and seconded by Commissioner Mahler to assign a project number to the Sprague Electriçal Service Rehab Project and direct Harper Perkins to proceed with necessary electrical engineering work. Motion carried unanimously. 25.0121.057 Motion by Commissioner Watts and seconded by Commissioner Fincannon to realign salaries for Precinct 4 (Dept. 224) with position 2, 3, 4 and 6 having a bi-weekly maximum salary of$1,531.10 and position 5 having a bi-weekly maximum salary of $1,577.26 effective January 17, 2025. This is a budget neutral salary amendment. Motion carried unanimously. Received update on Courthouse Renovations and County Courthouse Annexes. Court went into closed session at 10:53 a.m. for: Briefing and discussion with counsel from Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott L.L.P. regarding East Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Meeting closed pursuant to Texas Government Code, Sec. 551.071 (Consultation with Attomey). Court reconvened into open session at 1153: a.m. with no action taken. With no further action taken, Commissioners Court was adjourned at 11:53 a.m. and will meet in a special session on Friday, January 24, 2025.
