Website Posting Notice San Jacinto County is currently coordinating the countywide update of the San Jacinto County Hazard Mitigation Plan, which includes participation from the cities of Coldspring, Point Blank, and Shepherd. Al Hazard Mitigation Plan outlines actions that can be taken to reduce or eliminate long- term risk to: people and property from natural hazards. It is an effective tool for identifying risks and vulnerabitities to natural hazards sO that communities can take action before disaster occurs. Plans are required to receive federal mitigation grant funding for projects and must be updated every five years. REQUEST FOR PUBLIC COMMENT Part of the planning process includes encouraging public feedback and involvement. Citizens are invited to provide their input regarding local community hazards by reviewing the draft provided here and submitting comments, suggestions, or corrections to the San Jacinto County Emergency Management office at oem@san-jac.us.
