PUBLIC COMMENT: None REGULAR AGENDA: 1.1 Information on Grants Available = Debbie Mackey, Grant Coordinator a. Working on Stream Flow Enhancement Grant: Currently working on filing aj pre-application Would help the City remove the vegetation and have more ofar management water way. This will sustain the City for a number ofyears. 2. Discussion/Action on Amending Chapter 2.62 Ordinance No. 518 - Ione Creek Committee - There was discussion on Chapter 2.62.100 and the following D. Recommend political action to the City Council on riparian habitat measures, E. Recommend coordination of activities with other commissions, departments, or agencies, not limited to city council, planning commission, Ione volunteer fire department, department off fish and game, F.E.M.A., Mule Creek State Prison; amendments were recommended: water runoff flows; and (delete "and") (delete "volunteer"). Moved by Committee Member Nemeth, seconded by Committee Member Dutschke to recommend to City Council the amendments to Ordinance No. 518, Chapter 2.62. Adjusted Creek Boundaries - Committee recommended not to take action at this time and b. - Bank Restoration - Creek Committee would like to know whose ultimate responsibility: it isf for the creek- property owner or City. Refer to City Attorney for his opinion. Committee Member Dutschke presented pictures ofthe Creek at Five Mile Drive. Committee Member Dutschke would like tol know where the water is coming from and Budget for Fire, Flooding and! Public Works - Committee recommended that $10,000 be included in the Creek Committee Budget for the 2025-2026 Fiscal Year. d. Creek Cleaning - There was discussion about educating the public about throwing debris in the creek and also, responsibility of fallen trees. Committee Member Dutschke will meet with Jordan Doersksen, Administrative Assistant toj put that information in the next Ity was suggested to meet with City Engineer, Jonathan Mitchell toj prioritize the areas of review again when the current permit expires. also, ifwe can test the water.
