Job! Iwant to send the biggest "great job" possible to some folks that helped with what I viewed as a possible traffic issue. A 'one way' sign was recently placed in the median at Temperance going south at Deauville Circle. But it was placed at an angle where traffic going north( on Temperance, urning into the development ), could not see oncoming traffic. SoIcalled the office (324-2060) and was totally surprised that the phone was picked up on the first ring, by a real human person (not efficient. She took my complaint and passed it on to the utilities Iwas further surprised that by the end of the day, the problem had been corrected, the I one way' sign was now turned to allow a robot or AI), who was very friendly, professional, and department. vision to northbound traffic. In a world where most phone calls are answered by an automated response saying that your call is very important and then you wait 15 or more minutes before a human speaks to you, the response of the lady who answered my call was amazing. And then the utilities department corrected the problem on the very same day. My thanks for doing a great job. And just another reason why right minded people leave Fresno for Clovis ! As a member of the recent citizens' advisorycommittee: on police staffing, Ipointed out that the city appears to have long neglected such planning, resulting in the current critical shortage of sworn officers and the elimination of pro-active crime-precvention programs. Is the city continuing this pattern of neglect? Please don'tfail to make public-safety infrastructure planning a component of housing development.
