Int the event that the cily councli fails to render a decislon on the appeal within 60 days of the filing of the notice of appeal, the decision of the director of planning and engineering shall stand affirmed. Any person aggrieved by the decision of the city council may appeal to the municipal court within 30 days of the city council's decision. Sec. 16.11.-Legal provision. 1. Any person or entity violating or refusing to comply with any provision oft this ordinance shall be subject to citation to the municipal court, and, upon conviction, may be sentenced to imprisonment for up to 180 days, to pay a fine of up to $1,000.00, or both. Each day a violation exists shall be considered a separate violation for purposes of citation and sentencing. The city may also seek civil remedies including injunctive, declaratory or equitable relief for violations of this ordinance. 2.
