Mike Rick - 20 years ofs service - Lemmer stated that Mike started at the Highway Department as a highway worker and moved to the parts room around 10 years ago. Detert noted that 8. Update on Treatment of] Invasive Species on Road Sides. Lemmer is still working on this. Per Wickham Forestry is working on this as well. Suggested meeting with them to discuss. a. Chip Seal Rock***- - Highway D will be done this summer and some Town work. Received 2 bids. Suggesting we accept the bid from County Material. M/S Wickham/Lyskawa to approve accepting County Material's bid for Chip Seal Rock. All ayes. Motion carried on a voice vote. Per Lemmer, we close the road when we. are chip sealing and leave it closed briefly to help with insurance claims. pulverizing and paving ofK appears to have gone well. 9. ***Request for Proposal review and Award: 10. Highway Department Facility's - Per Lemmer the group met ai few weeks ago. Several meetings away from bringing back recommendations to the committee. Possibly late March. 11. Reduce Speed Limit on CTH S: from USH 51 to CTHH-I Resident reached out to Lemmer with concern about the speed. Currently 55mph. 230 vehicles a day travel this section. Per Wickham, this should be discussed with Public Safety sO we can make the decision based on facts. Lemmer will discuss with them and the Township to understand the situation better. Wickham questioned if we have a formal written process to: follow?Lemmer will look into this 12. We will be working on clearing vegetation next week because it looks dry. STH 17, USH 8and USH 51 trees need to be cleaned up. Probably 2-3 weeks of work.
