Addition to Article' VI(section613) Any person may appeal a decision oft the Town Council to affirm, modify, or reverse: a recommendation oft the Planning Commission to the Circuit Courti for review by filinga petition at law. The petition shall set forth the alleged illegality of the action of the Town Council andi the grounds thereof. The petition shall bei filed within thirty (30) days after the decision of the Town Council. Thet filing of the petition shall stay the decision of the Town Council. A copy of the petition shall be delivered to the Town's attorney, Chair oft the Planning Commission, and the Town Manager and petitioner shall file with the Circuit Court a certified or sworn copy of the record and documents considered by the Town Council. Courthouse Update - Rich Evans Mr. Evans informed Town Council that Jamerson-Lewis will be the contractor in charge of the Courthouse project. Mr. Evans also discussed preliminaryo dates for this project to begin. Preliminary plansi indicate that on. January: 20, 2025, the contractor will proceed with acompletion date of July 1,2027. The preliminary plans are that the Breckinridgel Law Office/ Hotel will! ber moved bye end of July, the oldi firehouse and Dodd building demo completed by August 15, 2025, andt the Courthouse demo completed byt the end of 2025. Mr. Evans answered questions from Council, and citizens present. He expressed the County's desiret to worki inj partnership witht the Town on1 this project, sincei iti is significant to the Towni in many ways. In addition1 to discussing thet tentative timeline fort the project, he also addressed plans for traffic, timing of workdays, retention of historical artifacts and elements from the olds structure and grounds, and plans for keeping Council and citizens in Town updated on the progress of the project. 4.
