MINUTES FORSYTH COUNTY CIVIL SERVICE BOARD REGULAR MEETING AND HEARING WEDNESDAY,OCIOBEK 16, 2024, AT 9:30 A.M. FORSYTH COUNTY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING 110 East Main Street, Suite 210, Cumming, GA 30040 MEMBERS PRESENT: Jerry Bowman, Chairman; John Mullin, Member; Jack Allen, Alternate Member; Richard Neville, Counsel and Hearing Officer; Kathy Echols, Clerk; Dee. Call Meeting to Order The meeting was called the meeting to order by Mr. Bowman at 10:00 a.m. II. Adoption of Agenda There was ai motion to adopt the agenda as presented by Mr. Allen with a second by Mr. Mullin. Motion passed unanimously. III. Adoption of Minutes Regular Meeting - September 12, 2024 There was a motion by Mr. Mullin with a second by Mr. Allen to adopt the minutes oft the September 12, 2024, meeting as presented. Motion passed unanimously. IV. Items for consideration and discussion: (1) Attorney Updates -1 Richard Neville, General Counsel/Hearing Officer (2) Administrative Updates - Kathy Echols, Civil Service Board Clerk Approval of2025 Civil Service Board Meeting Calendar There were no updates. There was ai motion by Mr. Allen with a second by Mr. Mullin to adopt the 2025 Civil Service Board Meeting Calendar as presented. Motion passed unanimously. (3) Scheduling Conference for Appeal Hearing for Doug Smith, Water Dept. A discussion was held to determine the length oft the hearing. Both parties said they do not expect the hearing to take any longer than one day. Ms. Clark requested that the meeting begin at 10:00 a.m. There was ai motion by Mr. Allen with a second by Mr. Mullin that the meeting/hearing begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Executive Session There was a motion by Mr. Mullin with a second by Mr. Allen to enter Executive Session. Motion passed unanimously and Executive Session was entered into at 4:50 PM. There was ai motion by Mr. Allen with a second by Mr. Mullen to close the Executive Session and resume the meeting. Motion passed unanimously and the Executive Session was closed at 5:00 p.m. VII. Adjourn There was ai motion by Mr. Mullen with a second by Mr. Allen to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed unanimously.
