E 1867 CRAWFORD CITY COUNCIL June 11, 2024 Minutes The City Council oft the City of Crawford, Texas conducted a Regular Meeting on Tuesday June 11, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. at City Hall, 6719 N Lonestar Pkwy., Crawford, Texas 76638. Present: Mayor Bobby Bain Mayor Pro Tem Cindy Vannatta Councimember Jared Ferrell Councilmember Lewis Snow Councilmember John Weldon Councimember Neil Watts City Secretary Alicia Chaney City Manager Brian Bolfing Chief of Police Bob Fuller 1. Call Meeting to Order 2. Invocation Absent: NONE Public: Brian Westerfield Mayor Bobby Bain called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Mayor gave the invocation. 3. Public Comments 4. EXECUTIVE SESSION NONE Council goes into executive session at 6:01 PM The council reconvenes into open session at 6:45 pm. 5. Discuss and consider action on hiring of public works employee. Motion was made by Councimember Jared Ferrell to hire Mussah Laher as a full time public works employee. Motion was seconded by Lewis Snow and passed. 6. Discuss and consider action on hiring of part-time office clerk. Motion was made by Councimember Jared Ferrell to hire Stephanie Velasquez as a part-time office clerk. Motion was seconded by Lewis Snow and passed. 7. Discuss and consider action on renewal of employee benefits. Motion was made by Councimember Lewis Snow to approve the renewal of employee benefits with TML Health. Motion was seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Cindy Vannatta and passed. 8. Discuss and consider action on proposal from Keystone Industries for well #2 well pump control panels. Motion was made by Councilmember Lewis Snow to approve the proposal from Keystone Inc. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Neil Watts and passed. 9. Discuss and consider action on proposal from Keystone Industries for water control system network. Motion was made by Councimember Lewis Snow to approve the proposal. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Neil Watts and passed. 10.Discuss and consider action on expenditure request by the EDC for the Chamber of Commerce. Motion was made by Councimember Lewis Snow to approve the expenditure request by the EDC from the Chamber of Commerce for fireworks for the 4th of July. Motion was seconded by Councimember Neil Watts and passed. 11. Discuss and consider action on a date for the FY '24-'25 Budget/Tax Rate Workshop. Motion was made by Councimember Jared Ferrell to set the date for the BudgetTax Rate Workshop for July 30, 2024, at 6:00 pm. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Neil Watts and passed. 12.Discuss and consider action to approve minutes from May 2024. Motion was made by Councimember Lewis Snow to approve minutes from May 2024. Administrative Update City Manager Brian Bolfing gave an admin update that included an update on the water study performed for the Grantham development. Engineers said the water study was all good. TX Dot is doing research on requiring a 4 way stop intersection at 317 and Hwy 185. Also, Well should be up and running by next week. 17. Adjourn Councimember Lewis Snow made a motion to adjourn at 7:32 pm. Motion was seconded by Council Member John Weldon and passed.
