Discuss and consider appointment of an Assistant Emergency Management Gus Ramirez, Fire Chief has appointed Fire Captain Emilio Ledesma as the new Assistant Emergency Management Coordinator in recognition of his exceptional hard work, dedication and his ongoing contributions to the department. Discuss and consider the renewal of the Medical Director contract for Alton First Gus Ramirez, Fire Chief stated that this is the renewal of the Medical Director contract for the Fire Department First Responders Organization Service Division. As licensed by the Texas Department of Health Services, the division requires a Medical Director to provide medical supervision, guidance, and develop protocols and standing orders for FRO personnel. Discuss and consider the adoption of Resolution 2025-01, related to the Work Plan and Budget for Fiscal Year 38 (2025-2026) for the Urban County Program. Cristina Garcia, Planning Director stated that this is the final work plan, which was previously presented as a preliminary report. This marks the completion of the process and the approximate budget for the plan is $290,000.00, which includes allocations for health services, general administration, and street improvements for Taurus Estates #13 and #15 Subdivisions. Discuss and consider approval of Resolution 2025-02, authorizing the purchase of Jeff Underwood, City Manager stated that as previously discussed the property at 720 South Alton Blvd. is being acquired to support the expansion of the Business Park for Public Works. The purchase price is $125,000 per acre for a total of8.55 acres, resulting in an overall investment exceeding one million dollars. The acquisition will be funded through the General Fund, with reimbursement anticipated in the near future. Staff recommends approval.
