Consideration and Approval oft the November 14", 2024, Parks & Recreation Advisory Board Meeting Motion made by Board Member Bright to approve of the 11/14/2024 Parks and Recreation Meeting; seconded by Board Secretary Arnold. Motion approved unanimously by voice vote. Yea: Board Chair Husemann, Board Member Pileggi, Board Member Arnold, Board Member Bright Minutes. Voting Nay: None OLD BUSINESS 2. Discussion: Parks Assessment Board Member Pileggi stated that Griffin Park was in good standing and commended the new bump-out signs. Board Secretary Arnold advised that Central Park was in good condition. 1IPage Board Chair Husemann advised that Blevin Park's walkway was muddy, palm fronds were near the entrance, and an irrigation pipe was exposed. 3. Discussion: Staff] Parks Update Public Services Director Morgan Cates advised that parks were being maintained as usual the Public Mr. Cates advised the board ofthe idea ofconsolidating some Fishing Piers on Lakeshore due to the Works staff. by number needing replacement. Discussion: Sara Maude Mason Boardwalk Project Update Public Services Director Morgan Cates advised that the handrails and the Observation Tower were to be installed on the boardwalk. cover NEW BUSINESS 5. Discussion: Christmas Festival The board had a discussion on final details for the Christmas Festival. 6. Discussion: New Town Planner Public Services Director Morgan Cates informed the Board about the new Town Planner and noted plans to meet with them to explore park grants.
