BOROUGH OF TAYLOR ORDINANCE No. a _of2025 AN ORDINANCE AMENDINGTHE CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE, BY HEREBY ADOPTING AMENDED SECTION 2.1 CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSON THE CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR OF THE BOROUGH OF TAYLOR MUNICIPAL CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION WHEREAS, the Council of the Borough of Taylor ("Council") has determined that it is in the interest of the Borough to amend the Rules and Regulations for the Borough Civil Service Commission to conform Section 2.1 (a) and (b) pertaining membership of the Commission, as provided by law; WHEREAS, in accordance with powers granted by the civil service sections of the Borough Code, T. 8 Pa.C.S.A., Pt. I, Ch. 11, Subch. J, Refs & Annos, including inter alia 8 Pa.C.S.A. S 1172 and S 1174 et seq., enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Council is vested with the authority to establish said Rules and Regulations; BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Council of the Borough of Taylor, and it is hereby enacted and ordained by and with the authority of same, as follows: Section 1. Section 2.1 (a) and (b) of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations for the Borough of Taylor Municipal Civil Service Commission are amended and readopted as follows: Section 2.1. The Borough reserves the right to amend this Ordinance or any portion thereof from time to time as it shall deem advisable in the best interests of the promotion of the purposes and intent of this Ordinance, and the effective administration thereof. Section 3. Repealer. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances of Taylor Borough in conflict with this Ordinance, to the extent of such conflict and no further, are hereby repealed. Notwithstanding the aforesaid nothing herein is intended to repeal any prior act of the Commission prior to the effective date of this Ordinance. Section 4. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately, or 2 at the earliest time as allowed by law, upon its being enacted and ordained. ENACTED this th day of 2025.
