GLASCOCK COUNTY COURTHOUSE The Glascock County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. in the Glascock County Courtroom. Present at the meeting were: Chair Lori Boyen; Commissioner Jeffery Chalker; Commissioner Scott Lamb; Commissioner Joe Dixon, Commissioner Autumn Milburn, Road Superintendent Mike Lyons; Sheriff Jeremy Kelley; Recreation Director Greg Johnson; Fire ChiefMark Shelton; Clerk Rhonda Phillips; and guests. Chairman Boyen called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone. Commissioner Lamb gave an invocation and Chair Boyen led the pledge ofa allegiance. Chair Boyen asked for approval oft the agenda. The Income Statement for the period ending June 30, 2024, had monthly expenses at $195,449.09 for a negative net income for the month of$101,268.36. Expenses year-to-date were $1,389,442.43 for a negative net income of $512,349.67. BALANCE SHEET FOR OTHER BANK ACCOUNTS: TSPLOST AT FIRST STATE: Balance on June 1, 2024, is $1,476,586.11 with interest of $5,342.73 and TIA deposit of $45,170.42. After expenses, the balance is $1,235,984.75. SPLOST IV AT FIRST STATE: Balance on June 1, 2024, is $547,881.14 with a deposit from GA SPLOST of $54.39 and $24,118.49 and interest of $2,269.36. Barksdale for $25,900.00 that includes: (1) grade/clean out ditch on left hand side from School Circle at Beall Springs Road down to culvert crossing as shown in walk thru on 6/17/24, (2) all excess soil will be hauled to site provided by county, (3) all disturbed area will be grassed with a temporary grass/Bermuda/Bahia made to include no vehicles or trailers on Walking Tract. All Star Concrete submitted a quote for 6-inch concrete curb for approximately 238 feet around area and reset bump stops for parking used for other projects. RECREATION DEPARTMENT: Recreation Director Johnson stated he will get back with vendor regarding the lighting at Brassell Park and noted the delay was due to holidays. Commissioner Dixon noted that McDuffie County Manager David Crawley stated there is basically no way this gets done by the deadline of September 1 as there is zoning and ambulance equipment that must be resolved.
