Director, Economic Development; Dann Keiser, Historic Preservation Officer; Michelle Conwell, Administrative Coordinator Guests: David Zeltwanger Call to Order 7:01 pm. Noting a quorum, Sean Lutes called the meeting of the Lafayette Historic Preservation Commission to order at Approval of the Minutes Alec' Williams moved to recommend approval of the September 30, 2024 meeting minutes. Shawna McCully seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. New Business Public Relations and Education Committee: No report District Committee: No report COA Committee: 1501 Main St. Applicant, David Zeltwanger, plans to change the existing dormer from ai flat roof to a gabled dormer where the ridge of the dormer matches with the ridge of the existing roof. The existing dormer is not original to the federal style architecture. The existing aluminum siding will be replaced with 8" white, Hardie board: siding with smooth side exposed. The chimney to be removed and rebuilt to meet existing code (taller). Additional brick that is compatible with the existing brick willl be used from the applicant's supply of brick. The applicant provided samples at the meeting for all commissioners to see. Per Dann Keiser, the new dormer meets standards. Julie Ginn made a motion to recommend approval of the application, Ann Amato seconded. The motion passed. Staff Report:. John Collier reminded the commissioners that meetings in November and December will be a week earlier due to the holidays. Any COAS for the November meeting are due by November 6th. John also let the Commission know that a new sign for the Art Museum that will bei installed on the east wall that faces 10th St., has been approved by Dann Keiser. Public Comment: No comment Adjournment There being no further business to bring before the Commission, Kevin Klinker moved to adjourn the meeting. Shawna McCully seconded the motion.
