CITY OF RAGER REGULAR MEETING MINUTES Al Regular Meeting of the Governing Body of the City of Ranger, Texas, was held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall, 400 West Main Street Ranger, Texas. Samantha McGinnis, announced her husband and her have been in contact with a film maker from Los Angeles. She stated they are currently working on a historical documentary of the history of Ranger. She stated their hopes are to bring positive awareness of our small town. She requested that anyone who has stories, photos, footage, or documents reach out to her at the following: 209-840-2519, merstoratontedscom. 2. Jeane Pruett thanked all who have kept in touch with her. Jeane announced Ranger will be brought back, and the history of our town will be notarized. 3. Tina Thomas expressed her concerns reducing the rates without looking at the budget. She stated Agenda Item 03: Announcements from City Council or Staff- 1. Commissioner Butler recognized Larry Monroe, Joel Jimenez, and Ranger Veteran Support Group, for their effort in honoring all wars and veterans. 2. City Manager, Gerald Gunstanson, announced Woodbridge Church is hosting "Rock the Block" at the Ranger City Park August 21, 2021 from 10am-Noon and all are invited. 3. City Manager, Gerald Gunstanson, congratulated Blue Martinez on his 27 years of service for the City of Ranger. 4. Mayor, John Casey, asked for prayers for Ed problems needs to be addressed before the rates are reduced. Lummon's family as hel had passed away. CITYC OFI RANGER COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES-AUGUST9,021 CONTINUED Agenda Item 17: Discuss: the proposed amendments to Ordinance No. 2008-07-28-01: An ordinance of the City of Ranger, Texas, consolidating ordinance numbers 2006-07-24-02 and 2007-10-22-02 regulating the placement and installations of mobile homes and HUD-code manufactured homes in the city; providing areas eligible for specific use permits; providing definitions; providing for mobile home parks; providing for nonconforming uses; providing other regulations for mobile, modular and manufactured homes; and providing exceptions and for *Discussion was held regarding the current mobile home ordinance and changes Commissioner Moize would like tol be considered. Commissioner Butler displayed an ordinance regarding mobile homes, and requested council make the changes they would like to see in the ordinance. This ordinance will be brought forth for discussion and vote in the future. No Action Taken.
