Ift this goes down, the city will be required to rent equipment and the use of man power to create al bypass to prevent overflow at the plant. Pumps 1&2are down 3rde effluent pump is the only operational one Shaft on pump number 1 broke Shaft on pump number 2 busted in four different areas Pump number two was pulled in. January and damage was assessed. Pump number one was pulled February 215t and damage was assessed. Contacted MVA: and they cannot tell us what caused this to happen. MVA has offered to rebuild with manufacture parts or a new pump (see quotes for Pump Number 2). First time MVA did not rebuild with manufacture parts. These were rebuilt by MVA and approved We have contacted two more companies and are waiting to receive quotes from them on a new pump. These companies were contacted after the shaft on pump number one became damaged. through the administration during. June of 2021. Recommendations: Recommendations from. Jacob Martin Consultant, Andrew Lopez: Replace Pump number two with a new pump. Pump number two has extensive shaft damage along with impeller damage. Repair pump number one by replacing shaft with manufacture parts, nota a rebuild. Ifiti is feasible to purchase two new pumps, thati is the ultimate recommendation. Warranty: MVA offers a one-year warranty on repairs. The manufacture offers a one-year warranty on parts. Ifa new pumpi is purchased there is an option to purchase an extended warranty.
