CITY OF RAGER REGULAR MEETING MINUTES NOTICE OF SUSPENSION OF PUBLIC ATTENDANCE AT CITY OF RANGER COUNCIL MEETING In accordance with Executive Order No. GA-14, signed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott on March 31, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. relating to COVID-19 preparedness and mitigation, every person in Texas shall avoid social gatherings in groups of more than 10 people. Additionally, on March 16, 2020, the Governor granted a request by the Texas Attorney General to waive certain requirements of the Texas Open Meetings Act. In accordance with section 418.016 of the Texas Government Code, Governor. Abbott has suspended various provisions that require government officials and members of the public to be physically present at a specified meeting location. Therefore, the public will only be able to attend the council meeting virtually. The meeting will be live- streamed on the city's Facebook page found at: tps/wwwiacebookom/angervsov, Ina accordance with the waiver, the public may make comments by calling in to Ranger City! Hall at (254) 647-3522 and speaking during the public comment portion oft the Council meeting. You will be contacted when it is your time to speak. In addition, the meeting mayi include one or more members of the council that will participate by teleconference. Commissioner Monroe announced the Ranger Veteran Support Group would be traveling to cemeteries that honor Vietnam Veterans and hold aj program for them. 2. Commissioner Monroe announced the Vietnam Veteran Celebration at the Vietnam Veteran Park is cancelled due to COVID-19. 3. City Manager Chad Roberts announce City Hall would be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 25. 4. Mayor Pilgrim read a letter written by the City Attorney responding to a complaint filed by Justin Koerner. The letter addressed a forensic audit being requested by Justin Koerner. 5.
