TOWN OF DAYTON COUNCIL WORK SESSION December 9, 2024 COUNCIL CHAMBERS, DAYTON TOWN HALL COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Jackson, Vice-Mayor Bradford Dyjak, Melody Pannell, and Bob Wolz and Emily Estes. Robert Seward resigned from council effective July 31, leaving his seat vacant. COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Susan Mathias ALSO PRESENT: Brian J. Borne, Town Manager; Christine Wade, Deputy Clerk; Justin Trout CALLTOORDER: Mayor. Jackson called the Work Session to order at 5:02 p.m. and Christine DISCUSSION: Mayor. Jackson announced that the first agenda item was the FY 26 Budget Presemamton-Administation and invited Christa Hall, the Town Treasurer, to deliver her report. Mrs. Hall explained that this presentation focused on the Operational Budget for the Administration Department, underscoring the anticipated overall increases projected for FY26 Mayor Jackson inquired about the reason behind the $18,000 increase in IT services. Mrs. Hall indicated that she would need to review the details to pinpoint the specific charges, noting that the figure was derived from their current expenses. Mayor Jackson clarified that this increase was not for any new services but ratherincremental adjustments to existing ones. Mrs. Hall confirmed that the largest portion of the increase was attributed to cyber security. Councilperson Wolz remarked that these figures were merely rough estimates. Mrs. Hall agreed, stating that they were indeed very preliminary. Town Manager Borne added that the figures would be further refined as the process progressed. Councilperson Wolz raised a question regarding the capital section, inquiring whether the amount solely encompassed the HVAC units. Mrs. Hall confirmed this information. Mr. Wolz then asked about the new well, to which Mrs. Hall responded that it fell under. Jennifer's Department and was not part of Administration. Mr. Borne reminded everyone that they were going byi individual departments, and that would be covered. ini Ms. Reppe'sp presentation scheduled for. January.
