Board of Commissioners oft the Town ofConetoe met in a Regular Meeting on' Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. in the Conetoe Town Hall Council Room at 204 West Church Street, Conetoe, NC: 27819. PRESENT Mayor Delane Bryant ABSENT None ALSO PRESENT Town Clerk: Kelly Hunter Commissioners: Jenny Staton-Hinnant, Monica Worsley, Cedric Barnes and Clay Webb 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AND INVOCATION Commissioner Hinnant gave thei invocation. 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MINUTES Mayor Bryant called the meeting to order and welcomed citizens and guests. Upon review of the agenda Commissioner Hinnant made ai motion to approve the agenda as presented. Commissioner Worsley seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. Upon review of the Minutes from the meeting held October 8, 2024 Commissioner Webbmade a motion to approve the minutes as is without amendment. Commissioner Hinnant seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. 3. - PUBLIC COMMENTS i. There werei noj public comments Commissioner Webb made a motion to close the Public Comments portion of the meeting and move to Action Items. Commissioner Worsley seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. 4. - ACTIONITEMS a. Event Updates/Discussion: i. Mayor Bryant spoke about the Howl-O-Ween Blast that was held at the town hall. Commissioner Hinnant made a motion to make the Howl-O- Ween Boo Blast an annual event. Commissioner Worsley seconded the ii. We had the Edgecombe County Chamber of Commerce ceremonial Ribbon Cutting for the official opening of the newly renovation Town Hall building and grounds on November 6th. There was a community Grand Opening Celebration oft the Town Hall & grounds on November gth. motion and it carried unanimously. Wel had many vendors, food trucks, and music. It was a great time had by all. b. Mayor Bryant gave provided information on the T-Mobile Hometown Grant for Mayor Bryant gave an update on the Mid-East CommissonOrdinances and d. Town Clerk, Kelly Hunter, presented the clerk report and gave an accounting of both completed and upcoming reports for the Town, including Grant Reporting, . A payment detail list of all bills and invoices paid and deposited were given to the Council to review. Commissioner Webb made a motion to approve all bills and invoices paid. Commissioner Worsley seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. The Budget to Actual report was also ii. Mandy Valiquette, Business Services Consultant, with the NCLM will be coming in on November 13th to discuss our property and liability policy and make sure everything is up to date and include any new additions. e. Budget Officer Clay Webb presented the Budget to Actual report to the board. Commissioner Worsley made a motion to approve the Budget Report. Commissioner Barnes seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. $50,000.00 that the town is working on completing. services contract. and its Bank Totals. given to the Board for review. Mayor Bryant presented the Town Manager Report. Additional Business 1. The next Second Saturday Market will bel held on December 14th. 2. Onl December 10th following our next Regular Board Meeting we will be meeting outside at 7:00PM. At this time we will begin Christmas Caroling around town. The kids will then decide on which house has the most Christmas spirit! There will be prizes for thei top 3 houses. A Community Christmas Social will follow at the 3.
