1- EAST BERLIN BOROUGH COUNCIL 128 Water Street, East Berlin, PA 17316 Call to Order: The regularly scheduled monthly meeting oft the East Berlin Borough Council began with the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:001 PM: led by Chris Warner, Council President on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 Members Present: Chris Warner, Roberta Teal, Robert Larson, Charles Philips, Heather Gentzler, Gregery Members Absent: Judith Salomon Council Person and Junior Council Member Maria Eichelberger Also Present: Solicitor Matt Battersby, Junior Council Member Jay Rotharmel and Approval of Agenda: Charles Philips motioned approval, second by Gregery Green. Motion carried. at the East Berlin Borough Hall. Green and Mayor Stephanie Haley. Adminstator/Ireasurer Cindy Smith Solicitor's report: Gregery Green granted the Solicitor permission to advertise the Vacation of the Unimproved Portion Solicitor stated that he will be in attendance at the Ordinance Violation Hearing on January 14, 2025 at ofPark Avenue, second by Roberta Teal. Motion carried. 9:30 AM. Administrator's Report: Roberta Teal motioned to renew the Commercial Refuse Agreement One-Year Extension contract inclusion clause effective April 1, 2025 - March 31, 2026 with Republic Services as outlined in the original agreement entered into March 9, 2022, second by Robert Larson. Motion carried. Council acknowledged the Administrator's continuing attendance at County and Borough's Robert Larson updated Council regarding the "The Committee Application" which will be completed in the near future and posted on the Borough website updating the previously existing form. Gregery Green motioned to accept the Keller Engineer Designation for the 2025 calendar year as Roberta Teal motioned to approve the 2025 Budget as presented with decided 2024 Fall Donations. All 2025 donations "to-be determined/TBD" in Fall of2025, second by Gregery Green. By roll call Council received the Northeast Adams Fire and EMS financial reporting for review at their leisure. Council received the Planning Commission Reports/ Activities for review at their leisure. Council received the Borough Engineers Report dated December 11, 2024 for review at the leisure. Correspondence: Chris Warner- Training & webinars available Constituents / Guests Present: Steve Haley Parks & Rec Commission Chairman gave a brief update regarding the status ofKuhn's Woods pending Grant documents. Solicitor Battersby will be working with the Chairman to update said documents with advertisement in March or April of2025 as necessary.
