Consent Agenda MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Gerber and a second by Councilmember REDWATER CITY COUNCIL REGULAR CALLED MEETING SEPTEMBER 16, 2024 Starkey, the Councilvoted three (3) forand none (0) opposed to approve and adopt the consent agenda as follows: (a) Approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting on August12,2024 (b) Approval of accounts payable for August2024 The motion carried Authorization by Council (a) Consider and take action on Bobbie and. Jeffrey Ashcraft's ongoing issue with their water meter MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Gerber, and a second by Councilmember Owens, the Council voted three (3)1 for and none (0) opposed to bill the Ashcraft's for 6,282 gallons of water The motion carried. (b) Consider and take action on David and Krystal Ousley's water meter and the readings MOTION: (c) MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Starkey, and a second by Councilmember Owens, the Council voted three (3) for and none (0) opposed to credit balance of $128.16. Consider and take action on Jennifer Snyder's water payment options Upon a motion made by Councilmember Gerber and a second by Councilmember Starkey, the Council voted three (3)1 for and none (0) opposed to allow the Snyder's one year to pay out their water balance of $2,004.63 withi the understanding that they keept their current balance paid as well. The Ratifythe propertytaxi increase of$4,014 reflected ini the proposed budget for FY 2024/2025 Upon an motion by Councilmember Starkety, and a second by Councilmember Gerber, the Council voted three (3) for and none (0) opposed to ratify the property tax increase of $4,014 Discuss and appoint officials to serve on Selection Review Committee to determine the criteria to select and rate competing Respondents, for purposes of procurement of Administration motion carried. (d) MOTION: reflectedin the proposed budget for FY2024/2025. The motion carried. (e) Services for the upcoming TXCDBG process. MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Starkey, and a second by Councilmember Owens, the Council voted three (3) for and none (0) opposed to appoint Mayor, Clay Parker, City AamntacfnarcaDraeto, Dessiel Whelchel, City Secretary, Anita Griffith, and Public' Works Discuss and approve Texarkana Water Utilities Amendment to water purchase contract Director, Joe Snyder. (b) Approve Ordinance No 24-02-48 ORDINANCE NO. 24-02-48; AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWATER, TEXAS, ADOPTINGA BUDGET AND. APPROPRIATING RESOURCES FORI FISCALYEAR: 2024-2025, BEGINNING OCTOBER 1,2024 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2025; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE the Council voted three (3) for and none (0) opposed.
