Ms. Snyder acknowledged the inclusion oft the financial reports fort the period ending July 31, 2024 and August 31, 2024. Mr. Briardy gave al brief overview oft thet financial report to the Board. NEW BUSINESS Western Tidewater Mechatronics Workforce Development Planning Grant Ms. Smith provided the Board with a summary of the Western Tidwater Mechatronics Workforce Development Planning Suburban Drive Access Agreement Mrs. Trimyer briefed the Board on the Suburban Drive Access Agreement - VHCDC. Mr. Webb moved to approve A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AN ACCESS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SUFFOLK AND VIRGINIA HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Several suggestions were presented whichi included a suggestion from Mr. King to add an outline of several historic Suffolk buildings as a background. Mrs. Trimyer willt take allt the suggestions and submit the next draft via email to the Board. Virginian-Pilot Building Update -Mr. Hughes gave an update on the Virginian-Pilot Building. Board of Directors Meeting November 13, 2024 Page 3 Motion for Closed Meeting Mr. King moved to reconvene in a closed meeting for the purpose of' "A discussion or consideration of acquisition of real property for a public purpose, or of the disposition of publicly held real property, where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the Authority" specifically concerning, property at the Point at Harbour View and Obici Place pursuant to Virginia Code Section 2.2-3711 (A)3). This training was conducted by Darius Davenport and Audrey T. Ruffin from Crenshaw Ware & Martin, the Board's legal counsel. The Board members who attended the training are as follows: Ms. Snyder reminded the Board that the next meeting will be on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Harper, King, Lockwood, Snyder, Stevenson, Webb, Willie.
