CDBG- September 2024 Meeting Minutes 1. Blighted Property - Beccie had a meeting with the CDBG advisors that informed her that she did not have to advertise for the Environmental Survey, that letters need to be sent to different organitations/ndwiduais that can complete the survey as the funds are already in place for the survey to be completed. Letters have been sent to those around the area that do an "Environmental Survey" for the property. Ini the meantime, Beccie is working with the circuit rider to complete a checklist that needs to be completed before demolition. This process can take anywhere from 81 to 12 weeks. An advertisement has been placed to be included in this week's Republican fori the release offunds, so the town can officially begin the purchase of the building. Old Business: Update on Security Systems - Installation of security system is complete. We are currently Streetlight at Water Plant: They are coming to assess the location on Thursday of this week and will contact the Town Hall with what they believe would be best. The original person that Beccie spoke to put in a repair order, rather than an installation order. Beccie was able to speak to Potomac Edison today to get that corrected and had the installation request sent. They will Race/Flood Gate: Beccie'sr meeting with the Director went really well. They were able to contact MULTIPLE State and Local Agencies that willl be able to help us get the funding that we need to get the gate fixed. Beccie was given a list of four approved contractors to do the work and contacted each of them. She was then able to meet with 3 of the contractors, all of whom seem to be thinking that thei issue resides inside of the stem base (the part above ground). She did receive estimates, and they are included to vote upon under new business. Clutter on Kitzmiller Addition Alley: Beccie was able to speak with the owner of the lot along the back side of the alley. The owner asked Beccie to turn it over to code enforcement. Letters have been sent to the residents that surround the owner's property from the Town. They have Intake Hose for Leafvac: The new parts for the leafvac were ordered and received. Kennyi is planning to get it repaired this week. He and Beccie were looking at the schedule for leaf pick up and are looking ati the second or third full week in October depending on leaf fall. Savvy Citizen: Beccie found a Government Program that may work, that does not cost anything. Itv will be mass texting if this is something we would consider. She has a meeting later this week Dog on Main Street: Beccie was able to contact the owners oft the dog on Main Street.
