Mr Rentz stated that lights should be going up on the one field with in the next week or two. Agenda #15, Town Manager Report as follows: (See attached) Agenda #16, Attorney Cox- No report Agenda #17, Police & Fire. Chief Weeks presented the department's monthly activity report. (See attached) Chief Weeks stated that he has concerns about the police department from citizens about the police department closing. All stated that the town is covered 24/7 by officers and that unless it was ever voted on that it'sj just rumors. Agenda #18, Council Members. FDOT toi issue permit. Russell McAlpin with) Fire Department asked citizens to be mindful of burning. Kay Neel asked about the status of the school zone system. Chief Weeks said we were waiting on Angie Locke informed Council she was now on the board oft the TDC and met with Kelsie Williams. They have a lot of good ideas to help us promote Sneads and Sneads Park and she is excited tol be a part ofit. Mrs Locke stated that at the Ball Park the playground equipment needs to have shade overi it. She Mike Weeks talked about Halloween being a huge success ini town. He asked Rentz for the status on the dump truck. Mr Rentz said we were waiting on FEMA to sign off on a form. Mr Weeks asked where we were on the Fire Truck. Mr Rentz stated about a year out from getting it, that it usually takes about 18 months from time you order for them to build it. Mr Weeks asked about the lighting on the helipad. Mr Rentz stated we didn't get the grant, SO he is working on other ways to get the fence and lights done. Mr Weeks asked about generators and one for City Hall. Mr Rentz stated we are working on them, but City Hall isn'ti included in them. However, hel has another idea about getting one for City Hall. Mr Weeks wants to see about raising some money fori it. asked Clerks to look into Direct Deposit for employees. ORDINANCE # 2024-05 ANORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF SNEADS, FLORIDA AMENDING THE WATER & SEWER RATE ORDINANCE ENACTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL, AND REPEALING OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Town Council has found and determined that it is necessary and desirable to forthwith modify the Town's existing NOW, THEREFORE, THE TOWN COUNCIL.OF THE TOWN OF SNEADS, FLORIDA, Section 1. Section 13 of the water and sewer rate ordinance heretofore enacted by the Town Council of the Town of Sneads on February 3, 1975, and December 19, 1983, is hereby amended to read ordinance relating to water and sewer rates, THAT: as follows: PAYMENT OF FEES AND BILLS REQUIRED. Bills for the monthly charges and fees hereinbefore mentioned shall be submitted and shall be payable on the 15th day of each month and if such monthly bill shall be and remain unpaid on or after the 15th day of such month for such service, a $10 penalty shall be imposed and be added to said bill, and if such monthly bill shall be and remain unpaid on or after the 20th day of such month for such services, a penalty fee of $25 shall be imposed and be added to the consumer shall be subject to disconnect. If services are discontinued. a reconnect fee of $20 shall be imposed and services shall not be reconnected after aiscontinuance until all past due bills are fully paid, together with said $10 penalty, $25 penalty to said bill, and, the water service fee, and $20 reconnect fee.
