Town Council Meeting November: 14, 2024 Thel November 14, 2024, Town Council Meeting was called to order byl Denise L. DiFranco, President, in Foster, RI at 6:001 p.m. at the Benjamin Eddy Building. The following members were present: Denise L. DiFranco, President Heidi Rogers, excused Cheryl Hawes David: Paolino Chris Stone I. II. Also present: Julia Chretien, Assistant Solicitor PDEDGEOFAUDEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. ANNOUNCEMENIS/ Denise L. DiFranco announced that Heidi Rogers PUBLIC COMMENT was excused. Ms. DiFranco publicly thanked everyone that participated ini the Veterans Day ceremony. It was the Foster shel loves. The fire departments, thel kids from Paine School playing games, and they passed out handmade cards tot the Veterans, the Veterans and the American Legion were there. She specially thanked Dave' Tirrell, Tommy Saterbak, and Bill Fortier for their work,' Tammy Steinkamp in Recreation, Whitney and Caseylynn. South Foster, especially Charlie Stockwell whol brought a generator and set up speakers; Foster Center and Moosup Valley (fire companies), Harry and Sam Shippee set up signs to "slow down". It was a very moving Cheryl Hawes said she wanted tot thank everybody too. Itl has been bittersweet being on the council. She enjoyed! it, they've had moments, and other moments, but we did alright and shei ist thankful for that, and shei is sorry it's over. She also wanted tol let everyone know, that the Chiefi isn't heret tonight, because she is at a New] England Statel Police Law Enforcement Leadership conference in Newport. She was asked tol be a guest speaker, and thati is al high honor and Ms. Hawes felt it was something everyone should) know about. Meeting Minutes for October 24, 2024, and October 30, 2024 A.
