COUNTY OF CARBON COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA ORDINANCE NO.D34-003 CARBON COUNTY AFFORDABLE HOUSING FUNDS ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE RECORDING FEES OF DEEDS AND MORTGAGES TO SUPPORT AND/OR ENHANCE THE COUNTY OF CARBON LOCAL AFFORDABLE HOUSING EFFORTS. ITIS HEREBY ORDAINED AND ENACTED, by the Board of Commissioners of Carbon County that, as provided by Act No. 137 of 1992 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, certain filing fees of the Recorder of Deeds Office shall be increased and utilized as herein ordained. Section 1-S Short Title This Ordinance shall be known and may be cited as the CARBON COUNTY AFFORDABLE HOUSING FUNDS ORDINANCE. Section 2-F Purpose The Carbon County Commissioners' intend to raise revenues toi fund affordable housing efforts int the County as said efforts are defined by the Optional County Affordable Housing Funds Act (Act 137)of1992. Section 3- Definitions The following words and phrases when used. in this Ordinance shall have the meaning "Affordable housing effort." Any program or project approved by the Carbon County Commissioners which increases the availability of quality housing, to any Carbon County resident whose annual income is less than the mediani income oft the County of Carbon. given to them in this Section unless the context clearlyi indicates otherwise: Section 4-1 Fee Increases The fees charged by the Recorder of Deeds for recording deeds and mortgages under the Act of April 8, 1982 (P.L. 310, No. 87), referred to as the Recorder of Deeds Fee Law, shall be increased as follows: (a) Deeds from Ninety-Four Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($94.75) each to One- Hundred-One Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($101.75) each for the first four pages; Four (b) Mortgages from Ninety-Four Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($94.75)eachto One-Hundred-One Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($101.75) each for the first four pages; Four Dollars ($4.00) for each additional page.
