Also] present: Danny Ziemer and Katie Sanders The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pullen at 9:02 a.m. in the conference room of the Lumpkin County Administration Building, 99 Courthouse Hill, Minutes of the October 8, 2024 meeting: Motion to approve was made by Ms. from the Assessor'soffice. Dahlonega, GA 30533. Armstrong with a second by Ms. Smith. Voted 4-0 in favor. Old Business: Exempt Digest: After review Mr. Clark made a motion to approve the digest as presented. Ms. Smith seconded. Board voted in favor 4-0. New Business: ACO. Report: After the Board reviewed the report Ms. Armstrong made a motion to Homestead Exemptions: Motion to approve was made by Ms. Smith with a second Veterans Exemption: Daniel. Ji Bosanko Brian W. OUNT) Lumpkin County Board of Assessors 99 Courthouse Hill, Suite C Dahlonega, GA 30533 (706)864-2433 ABOS Schedule Update & NADA Schedule Update: On motion by Mr. Clark and seconded by Ms. Smith the Board voted to approve the updated schedules for 2025. Mr. Ziemer updated the Board on office and Board education. Mr. Bosanko and Mr. Pullen attended. Georgia Assessment Administration the previous week and successfully passed the class. Mr. Clark was scheduled for his first class in January in Tifton. Due to staffing changes at the Department of Revenue the number of classes offered were temporarily reduced sO getting a spot can be tricky at times. Mr. Ziemer along with Joe and Trina, the field appraisers, will be attending a GAAO seminar concerning implementing HB 581 in Macon in December. The amendment passed during the November general election and is effective January 1, 2025. Mr. Ziemer informed thel Board that all 2024 appeals have been heard and are final. He commended Joe and Trina on their performance in the hearings. There were: no major issues or concerns during the process. The field staff have hit the ground running for the 2025 digest and are busy getting completion percentages on under construction parcels as well as working on reviewing areas of the county and Ms. Smith submitted her resignation from the Board to Chairman Pullen effective January 1,2025.
