Auditions On September 17th, many of our fine jazz musicians went to audition for the All-Region Jazz Band. of the 100+ students auditioning we had 3 students make the band, Eduardo Huerta (Trumpet) Larkin Tyler (Trombone) e) Jack) Wiliams (Drum set.) All 3 of these musiclans qualified for All-State. Auditions, competing againat thel best oft thel best 4A, 3A, 2A, 81 1A musicians int the state. On September 24, the students travelled to record their audition for this competition. Out of the hundreds of recordings, our students represented Grandviewi ina a great way.) Jack Williams placed: 240 out of 40+ drummers, Eduardo! Huerta placed 14 out of 50+ trumpet players, and Larkin Tyler placed 1st out of 60+ trombone players, being awarded the 1st chair spot in the All-State Jazz Band.
