Joshua Husemann called the Parks and Recreation Board Meeting to order at 06:02 p.m. Joshua Husemann, Board Chair Teresa Pileggi, Board Member Staci Mauro, Board Member Meredith Bright, Board Member BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: Mary Arnold, Board Secretary STAFF PRESENT: Morgan Cates, Public Works Director Brianna Pino, Public Works Administrative Assistant APPROVALOFI MINUTES 1. Consideration and Approval ofthe September 5th, 2024, Parks & Recreation Advisory Board Meeting Motion made by Board Member Pileggi to approve of the 09/05/2024 Parks and Recreation Meeting; seconded by Board Member Bright. Motion approved unanimously by voice vote. Yea: Board Chair Husemann, Board Member Pileggi, Board Member Mauro, Board Member Bright Minutes. Voting Nay: None OLD BUSINESS 2. Discussion: Parks Assessment Board Member Mauro stated that the cemetery had debris. Board Member Pileggi noted that Griffin Park had appeared wel-maintained, although some debris was present. 1IPage Board Chair Husemann stated that the debris cleanup process in] Blevins Park had been carried out well. Public Works Director Morgan Cates reported that the Sara Maude Mason Nature Preserve boardwalk had sustained storm damage. Mr. Cates advised that the contractor would handle the repairs. Mr. Cates stated that the storm cleanup had been managed by the Public Works staff. 3. Discussion: StaffParks Update Mr. Cates reported that work was underway on Finger Pier #5. Mr. Cates reported that the swing set at Central Park had been reinstalled after minor rips on the awning caused by the storm. NEW BUSINESS 4. Discussion: Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) 5-Year Schedule A lengthy discussion ensued. 5. Discussion: Events It was confirmed that Board Secretary Arnold and Board Member Mauro would judge the costume contest and houses for the Halloween Bash.
