INVOCATION AND PLEDGE TOTHE AMERICAN FLAG The invocation and the pledge were led by Commissioner Storey. 3.Storm Update from Chief Garner Emergency Operations Chief Garner gave an update on the Tropical Depression Helene. He stated that the storm is projected to be making landfall somewhere on the Taylor/Jefferson County line all the way to the west side of Apalachicola. Chief Garner said his biggest concern for the County is storm surge. He also stated the storm is projected to be a CAT 3-4 at landfall. He added that the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has already submitted three requests for generators. He said this includes one for the Suwannee Water and Sewer District, the fire station, and Motion to go into. State of Emergency made by Commissioner Hatch. Seconded by Commissioner Chief Garner stated the EOC will start battle rhythms including State update calls at 11:15 AM and! 5:15 one at the EOC fort the State Laison. Wood. Board approved. PM daily. Commissioner Hatch asked for the Suwannee River water levels update. Chief Garner said they are at! 5.61 feet at' Wilcox. Commissioner Stephenson asked when to expect the next meeting. Attorney Chana Watson said the County has the State of Emergency approved and that will be good Director of Emergency Operations stated that they would keep the Board informed and contact them if until September 30, 2024. another meetingi is needed.
