The BoCC requests the city to send a letter with the city during this challenging time. what assistance we need. The Commission voted unanimously to assist the city. MOTION Commissioner White motioned for Interim City Manager Alltop to write the letter on behalfofthe Commission to the BoCC for any assistance we need, seconded by Commissioner Hope. Old Business Agenda Item 1: Update on Temporary Moratorium on Land Uses City Attorey Ballou spoke to Sandra Joseph at North Central Florida Regional Planning Council they will be able to assist with the draft moratorium. The City Commission would be driving the changes by reviewing the Land Development Code for amendments. NCFRPC will draft the changes once completed, they will not be able to: make the changes. This is a big task for the City Commission to Commissioner Hope motioned to move with NCFRPC, seconded by Commissioner White. Public comment: Melvin Lauderdale, Ronnie Arnold, Bill Lewandowski. Agenda Item 2: Discussion on Proposed City Manager. Job Description City Attorney Ballou stated that this is a draft job description. Motion Carried: 4-1 (Mayor Bailey dissenting) Commissioner Hope motioned to consider the job description, seconded by Commissioner Green. By consensus, the Commission wants to add the residency requirement to the job description. Agenda Item 3: Discussion on Proposed City Manager Employment Contract City Attomey Ballou stated that this item is on the agenda for feedback from the Commission and citizens. The Contract will come back on future agendas. New Business Agenda Item 1: City's Financial Status/Updates The Holly Hills community center/gym project is over budget, due to the city's current finances, staff isr recommended we do not move forward with the project. City Managers Report Public Works activity for the last month. Assisted with the food give ways at Maddox Park. They are working out really well and the citizens appreciate it. Fixed water leak at mini storage on Archer Road. Fixed water leak on SW 137th Ave, changed cut-off valve. -I Met with the County on the location oft the water valves on State Road45 Assisted with having the water tower washed and cleaned out. Currently working on the last mowing oft the season. - Did meter readings. Completed inventory. Installed pressure reliefvalve. at each end oft the city to help with pressure while tank was being cleaned. We anticipate the first pass of disaster yard debris to be completed by November 22nd. Alachua County is managing this with the contractors and FEMA.
