Oak Springs Community Center/Police Department 342 Campbell Street, Cleveland, GA 1. Call to Order Mayor Turner called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. PRESENT: Mayor Josh Turner, Council Members Nan Bowen, Annie Sutton, Jeremy McClure Also present were City Administrator Kevin Harris, City Attorney Keith Whitaker, and Mayor Turner deferred the meeting to Council Member McDonald to introduce Senior 2. Approve Agenda Motion by Council Member McClure, seconded by Council Member Bowen, and voted, unanimously, to adopt the agenda with an amendment to add personnel asan item for discussion during Executive Session. PUBLIC COMMENTS Ms. Judy Lovell, Historic Society, addressed the Mayor and Council. She discussed an article in the 1909 Cleveland Courier about their upcoming visit with Governor Joseph Mackey Brown. NEW BUSINESS 5. Resolution 2024-27 - Amendment to the 2024-01 Appointments - Building Authority, Alcohol Review Board, and Downtown Development Authority Mr. Harris discussed vacancies and recommendations for filling the vacancies. Motion by Council Member McDonald, seconded by Council Member Bowen,and voted, unanimously, to approve the appointments recommended by Mr. Harris as follows: Building Authority - Jeff Groves Alcohol Review Board - Ken Payne (moving him from the alternate position) Downtown Development Authority - Haley Thomas (moving her from the Alcohol Review Board) 6. Wellness Policy Ms. Ritchie addressed the Mayor and Council Members. CITY ADMINISTRATOR KEVIN HARRIS Mr. Harris discussed the following items: Appreciation to the White County Board of Commissioners for their collaboration with the old Tax Commissioner's property Newi fire station and road closings Copper and Lead survey completion with the report being accepted. Cleveland did not have any lead pipes, sO no replacements are needed. CITY ATTORNEY KEITH WHITAKER Mr. Whitaker did not have any items to report. ANNOUNCEMENTS Ms. Ritchie gave the announcements. 12.
