ORDINANCENO. 2024-06  AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GATESVILLE, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023-24 BUDGET OF' THE CITY OF GATESVILLETO. ALLOW FOR ADJUSTMENTS TO THE GENERAL FUND REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES, EACH IN THE. AMOUNT OF SIX HUNDRED NINETY THOUSAND DOLLARS (S690,000.00); DECLARING A MUNICIPAL PURPOSE; PROVIDINGA SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A CONFLICTS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING  FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.  WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 2023-06, the City Council ofGatesville, Texas, WHEREAS, Texas Local Government Code section 102.010 allows a municipality to WHEREAS, the City staff has advised that the City anticipates receipt of revenues in excess ofcurrently budgeted expenditures and further has advised of proposed expenditures for  approved the Fiscal Year 2023-24. Budget; and  amend its budget as deemed necessary for municipal purposes; and  the excess revenues; and  WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a municipal purpose exists for the NOW,THEREFORE, BEITORDAINED: BYTHE CITYCOUNCILOFTHECITY SECTION 1. The findings set forth in the above preamble to this Ordinance are true SECTION2. Ordinance 2023-06 approving the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Budget ofthe City of Gatesville for the Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2023 and ending September 30, 20241 be and it is hereby amended by allowing an adjustment increasing revenues to the General Fund and by further allowing appropriations and expenditures from the General Fund, each in the  amendment to the Fiscal year 2023-24 Budget and its adopting ordinance;  OF GATESVILLE, TEXAS' THAT:  and correct and are hereby adopted and incorporated herein.  amount ofs $690,000.00.  SECTION3. This Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary, who is directed to SECTION 4. All provisions of the ordinances oft the City of Gatesville in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and the same are. hereby repealed, and all other provisions ofthe ordinances oft the City of Gatesville not in conflict with the provisions oft this ordinance  attach a copy ofthis Ordinance to the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Budget.  shall remain in full force and effect.  SECTION5. Ifany section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or word in this Ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or under any circumstances is held invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity oft the    remaining portions ofthis Ordinance, and the City Council ofthe CityofGATESVILLE Texas, hereby declares it would have enacted such remaining portions despite any suchi invalidity. SECTION 6. It is officially found and determined that the meeting at which this Ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law, and the public notice of the  time, place and purpose oft this meeting was given as required by law.  SECTION7. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and  approval.
