Mayor Paul Gohman called the Special City Council meeting on August 20, 2024, to order The meeting was held at the city hall chambers, 114S Washington St., Bronte, Texas. In attendance were Mayor Paul Gohman, council members Mayor Pro Tem Mike Bailey, Clabe F. Webb, Zach Davidson, David Scott, and RA Morris. Staff members present Teresa Ballard, Ricky Royall. Tara Robinson was attending the EDC meeting going on Mayor Paul Gohman led the Pledges of Allegiance and Mayor Pro Tem Mike Bailey led  at 6:32 p.m. and a quorum was established  today.  the invocation.  Finance: Budget: Consider approving Ordinance 24-01 Exhibit "A" FY23-24 Budget Amendments. The city secretary presented fund accounts that needed to be amended. David Scott made a motion to approve the FY23-24 Budget Amendments exhibit "A" as  presented, seconded by Clabe F. Webb. Vote: 5/0 motion carried  Finance - Budget: FY24-25 Budget Workshop  Mayor Paul Gohman distributed draft budget worksheets. The city secretary discussed more changes made to the last budget workshop. This is a discussion only. No action  taken.  Finance: Budget: Consider approving FY 24-25 Operating Budget  Zach Davidson made a motion to the FY2024 - 2025 Operating Budget as presented;  David Scott seconded the motion. Vote: 5-0  Finance: Budget: Consider setting Public Hearing date and time for the Proposed FY 24-25 Budget & Tax Rate. The city secretary discussed dates for public hearing.  Council agreed to September 9, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.  Finance: Election: Consider authorizing the mayor to sign Resolution 24-07 Election Equipment and Joint Election Contract between City of Bronte and Coke County Clerk. Zach Davidson made a motion to authorize the mayor to sign resolution 24-07 election equipment and joint election contract, Mike Bailey seconded the motion. Vote: 5/0 motion  carried.  Finance: City Offices: Consider authorizing the mayor to sign Resolution 24-08 contracting with ASU Cybersecurity. David Scott made a motion to authorize the mayor to sign resolution 24-08 contracting with ASU cybersecurity, Mike Bailey seconded the  motion. Vote: 5/0 motion carried.  Finance: Consider approving adjustment of interest rates for EDC CDs held with Keystone Bank.
