FORNEY EX MINUTES Forney, TX 75126  BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING Forney City Hall Annex, 101 East Main Street Tuesday, September 10, 2024- 6:30 p.m.  I.  CALLTOORDER  Chair Brian Reese called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Present were board members and alternates Brian Reese, Terese Rice, Clinton Kirk, and Sierra Owens. Also, present were Director ofCommunity Development Peter Morgan, Senior Planner Alex Dixon, and Board Secretary Kylee Goodson. Board members and alternates, Caz Tankersley and Phillip Baxter were absent.  Sierra Owens served as a regular voting member for this meeting.  II. CONSENTITEMS  1. Consider approval of the August 13, 2024, Board of Adjustment meeting minutes. Clinton Kirk made a motion to approve the minutes with corrections. Chair Brian Reese seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of4 ayes and 0 nays.  III. PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS  1. Hold a public hearing and discuss and consider approval of variances to the fence Senior Planner Alex Dixon introduced the item and explained the details of the request. Chair Brian Reece opened the public hearing at 6:31 p.m. Applicant Jose Alfredo Rodriguez Castillo spoke in favor of the request. He stated that the fence was already constructed before he acquired the property 61 months ago and that removing the fence would create a financial hardship. Steven Grubbs spoke in opposition to the request. He mentioned that part of the home is demolished. He Chair Brian Reece closed the public hearing at 6:45 p.m. Following a brief discussion, Clinton Kirk made a motion to deny the variance requests. Terese Rice seconded the motion. The motion  regulations for aj property located at 15 Estate Lane.  asked when the home would be repaired and completed.  passed by a vote of4 ayes and 0 nays. The variance requests were denied.  IV.
