MINUTES CITY OF DENTON September 25, 2024  TAXINCREMENT REINVESTMENT ZONE NUMBER ONE BOARD  After determining that a quorum is present, the Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment Zone Number One Board ofthe City ofDenton, Texas, will convene in a Regular Meeting on Wednesday, September25,2024, at 12:05 p.m. in the Development Service Center, Training Rooms 1 and 2 at 401 N. Elm Street, Denton, PRESENT: Suzanne Johnson (Chair), Brian Beck, Taylor Brakefield, Vicki Byrd, and Marybeth  Texas at which the following items will be considered:  Reinke Doyle Daniel Abasolo  ABSENT: STAFF:  Scott Bray, Carly Blondin, Christina Davis, Vanessa Esparza, Kristen Pulido, Cameron  Robertson, Charlie Rosendahl, and Erica Sullivan  1. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION  A. TIF24-023 Consider approval of the meeting minutes for July 24, 2024.  Byrd made a motion to approve the minutes of. July 24, 2024. Brakefield seconded the motion.  Motion carried (4-0). NAYS (0): None ABSTAIN (1): Beck  AYES (4): Brakefield, Byrd, Johnson, and Reinke Doyle  B. TIF24-025 Review nominations and make a recommendation to the City Council to appoint a new member toi fill the vacant seat of Business Owner for the' Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number One Board, and to reappoint Daniel Abasolo to a second term. Byrd madea ai motion to nominate Tim Stolzfus to filli the Business Owner seat vacancy for the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number One Board. Beck seconded the motion. Motion carried (5-  0).  AYES (5): Beck, Brakefield, Byrd, Johnson, and Reinke Doyle  NAYS (0): None  Byrd made a motion to recommend Tim Stolzfus to fill the Business Owner seat vacancy for the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number One Board to City Council. Beck seconded the  motion. Motion carried (5-0). NAYS (0): None  AYES (5): Beck, Brakefield, Byrd, Johnson, and Reinke Doyle  Byrd made a motion to nominate Daniel Abasolo for reappointment to his Qualified Voter seat for the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number One Board. Doyle seconded the motion.  Motion carried (5-0).  1    AYES (5): Beck, Brakefield, Byrd, Johnson, and Reinke Doyle  NAYS (0): None  Byrd made ai motion to recommend Daniel Abasolo for reappointment to his Business Owner seat for the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number One Board to City Council. Doyle seconded  the motion. Motion carried (5-0).  AYES (5): Beck, Brakefield, Byrd, Johnson, and Reinke Doyle  NAYS (0): None 2. WORK SESSION process.  A. TIF24-026 Receive a report, hold a discussion regarding thel Downtown Reinvestment Grant  Kristen Pulido presented the item and discussion followed.  B. TIF24-024 Receive a report and hold a discussion regarding amending the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number One Creation Ordinance and the Project and Financing Plan.  Erica Sullivan presented the item and discussion followed.
