ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER 3900 MAIN STREET, RIVERSIDE  MINUTES  PRESENT IN PERSON:  Chair Vega, Vice Chair Newman, and Members DeHerrera, Foreman, Hernandez, and Dr. Benson  ABSENT: STAFF PRESENT:  None  Donesia Gause and Brandon Mercer  Chair Vega called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m. Member Foreman led the Pledge of Allegiance. There was no one wishing to address the Board.  PUBLIC COMMENTS CONSENT CALENDAR  Itwas moved by Member Foreman and seconded by Vice Chair Newman to approve the Consent Calendar as presented below affirming the actions  appropriate to each item. The motion carried unanimously.  MINUTES  The minutes of the meeting of November 7, 2024, were approved as presented. The Board recorded the absence of Vice Chair Newman from the November 7, STATEMENT OF FINDINGS AND DECISION - COMPLAINT BY RAMI RAY, AGAINST The Board approved the Statement of Findings and Decision of the November7, 2024, pre-conference regarding Code of Ethics and Conduct complaint by Rami  RECORD OF ABSENCE 2024, meeting as excused. COUNCILMEMBER CONDER  Ray, against Councimember Conder.  DISCUSSION CALENDAR  AD HOC TO RESEARCH SUBPOENA POWER AND AUTHORITY TO COMPEL CITY Following discussion and without formal motion, the Board received updates on research relating to subpoena power and authority to compel City mpoyeelepevendive to appear as witness for Board of Ethics hearings.  EMPLOYEE/REPRESENTATIVETO APPEAR AS WITNESS UPDATE  1    COMMUNICATIONS  BRIEF REPORTS ON MEETINGS ATTENDED BY BOARD MEMBER  There were no reports given at this time.  ITEMS FOR FUTURE BOARD CONSIDERATION AS REQUESTED BY BOARD OF ETHICS Member Hernandez requested research on subpoena power and authority to compel City empoyee/epleyenldlve to appear as witness for Board of Ethics Member DeHerrera announced that she will be absent for the next Board of Ethics  MEMBERS  hearings on the January 2, 2025, agenda.  meeting on January 2, 2025.
