Commission welcomes 4 new commissioners: Susan Jaggers, Michelle Jones, Jenny Rabellino and Scott Toillion 4. Public invited to be heard a. Meaghan Peters, Fund Development Manager for the Longmont Museum, talks about the upcoming Longmont Museum's Sunset Soirée and fundraising efforts for the museum expansion. This will be the first fundraiser for the museum ever. The event will have a three course meal, live jazz music, an open bar and will showcase the vast offerings the museum provides for our community. Danyelle motions to move forward with 7 designs, Trisa Seconds. 12 yay, a. Update - the artwork and artist are under contract for Clover Meadows Park. The artwork concept is two large bike gears wrapped in a large chain with pedals as benches. Review image of artwork design, the proposed location (near the bike course at the north side of the park) and a. Update - 77 artists submitted to the open call and three semi-finalists were chosen from the first meeting on June 17"h, 2024. The final presentation will happen on Monday July 22 at 4pm. Two artists will present in-person, and one will present virtually. The Commission reviews a. All components of the artwork were assessed by the conservator. The focus oft the conservator will be to stabilize the "tree" structures, as well as repairing the kinetic aspect of the "leaves", and for the "fish" water fountain will be repaired and sealed. The conservator is finalizing work scope and a. New labels for artworks are being made, but prices for heavy duty labels are very high. We're working on aluminum signage and will batch multiple labels to make the expense more cost effective, easier to replace and also to change. "Gazebo" in Collyer Park has a new rock for the updated label to mount to with the hopes the label will not have to be replaced again for a. The Safety & Justice Center building rehabilitation has begun. The City is implementing cohesive messaging about the status of projects including building construction, access as well as the AIPP projects.
