CALLTOO ORDER 7 The September 12, 2024, Airport Advisory Board meeting was called to order by Chairperson Earl at 6:03 8 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. 9 2. ROLLCALL 10 Kayla Picciau, Recording Secretary, called roll. Those present were Chairperson Harrison Earl, Vice 11 Chairperson Melinda Jordan, and Board Members Malcolm Dean, Tallis Salamatian, Steve Shook, Dan 13 Staff present were Levi Brown, Airport Manager, and Kayla Picciau, Recording Secretary. 12 Meester, Matthew Menza and City Council Member Sean McCoy. 14 3. INFORMATION ITEMS Updates from the Airport Manager 35 Levi stated that the wildlife fence and the pavement rehab are in the stage of contracting. Airport Advisory Board- - September 12, 2024 Page 2 1 Levi stated that moving forward the airport needs to make sure we are in compliance with House Bill 1235 3 Levi stated he met with the major flight schools that fly in and out Longmont to review the noise abatement 2 requirements. 4 program. 5 Chairperson Earl asked Levi to explain the noise abatement program. Levi provided a general overview of the noise abatement program. 7 Board Member Menza asked Levi about when he met with thei flight schools ifl he spoke about practice area 8 locations. 9 Levir responded that they didn't speak about the practice areas. 10 Board Member Menza recommended to add more information to the city website about flight patterns and 12 Levi stated he would like to work with the board to update the information on the city's website. 13 Vice Chairperson Jordan stated that Colorado Pilots Association provides a practice zone map. 14 Levi responded to Chairperson Earls question about the drainage study. Levi stated that he is working 11 practice areas for public education. 15 through thet final details of the study. 16 ii. Development Notification Discussion 17 Levi stated he is working with Phil Greenwald from the Planning and Zoning Department to discuss the 18 development notification process. He stated they are in talks with the FAA: about development in the airport 20 Levi responded to Chairperson Earls question stating he is working with Phil Greenwald and a city attorney 19 influence zone. 21 to discuss the preliminary steps for the city council study session. 22 Chairperson Earl requested that this topic to be added to the October meeting agenda. 23 ili. He stated 5 thei fire inspections are continuing. He stated he is waiting for notification of the final meeting with the fire 6 department. 7 9.
