Adam Perky, Tom Braaten called thel Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation (ECAHF) Development Committee meeting to order at 3:30 pm on November 5, 2024 at the Havelock Tourist & Event Center, Havelock, NC, and via Teams with a quorum present. Tom Braaten presented the minutes to the committee for their review and approval. Jimmie Green made a motion to approve the October 1, 2024 Development Committee minutes with no  B. APROVALOFMINUIES  corrections. The motion carried unanimously. Gala 2025- - February. 21, 2025  .OLDB BUSINESS  Tom Braaten informed the committee that there has been no response regarding the approval or denial oft the request for an astronaut guest speaker at the Gala. Therefore, After much discussion, the committee agreed to recommend to the Board seeking a speaker, namely Guy Nelson, to discuss drones due to the ease of shifting marketing  an alternate speaker should be discussed.  strategies in the event: a NASA astronaut is not: available.  2. National Night Out  Jimmie Green reported that the Development Committee meeting on October1,2024 wasl held at the National Night Out at Walter B. Jones Park in Havelock. He mentioned Guy Nelson and Chairman Adam Persky were present along with Tom Braaten and Barry Fetzer had asked ifanyone who attended thel National Night Out had subsequently applied for membership in ECAHF. Fall Members and Partners Night  Jimmie Green stated thel Falll Members and Partners Night was successful. Itwas reported that over 60 people were in attendance. Jimmie Green also mentioned the food vendors did an excellent job providing wonderful tastings to all the attendees. 4. NASA Expedition 73 In-flight Education DownLink. Engagement. Application  The application fort thel Downlink Engagement was submitted on October 29, 2024.  D. NEW BUSINESS  . Summer Camp. Dates, July. 21-25, 2025 session willl be] July21-25, ,2025. 2. Carteret County Chamber Member. Renewal  Jimmie Green mentioned the dates currently scheduled for the 2025 Summer Camp Jimmie Green stated that he would make a recommendation to the Board that ECAHF should not renew the membership with the Carteret County Chamber of Commerce as he feels thel President oft the Chamber would continue to support us. Barry Fetzer made the point that one advertising notice in one Chamber Newsletter would be worth the cost  of the membership. No additional items.
