Special Called Meeting of Mayor & Council Cityof Maysville City Hall 4 Homer Street Maysville, GA 30558 November Present: Ge7 ville, 21, 2024, AT 6PM Richard Presley, Mayor Kimberly Wilmoth, Ward 1 Amanda Farley, Ward 2 Doug Kidd, Attorney Kim Jackson, City Clerk Absent: Richard Parr, Ward 3; Mayor Pro Tem Brodriche Jackson, Ward 4 6:00 p.m. Mayor Richard Presley called the meeting to order. Amend the Agenda a. Brodriche Jackson would like to add Hidden Meadows back to the agenda. Brodriche Jackson made a motion to add Hidden Meadows back to the agenda. Amanda Farley second the motion. AlL ini favor b. Amanda Farley would like to add getting the police truck voted in, city building signs, welcome to the city signs, city limit signs, and auctioning off the old police car. Amanda Farley made a motion to add above to the agenda as presented. Richard Parr seconded. All ini favor. II. Old Business a. Peddler License Ordinance Attorney Doug Kidd brought a peddler license Ordinance for the council to look at from another city. He asked for any changes to be sent tol him. b. Large Scale Subdivision Building C. Citizen Comment Ordinance Tabled until we receive the numbers from EMI. The council discussed moving citizen comments to the end of the agenda at the work session. d. USA Utility Solutions/Badger Working with Josh to get the information the council requested. e. Large Truck Issue Ordinance The mayor and council read through ordinance and made adjustments to change to ten wheels and bring them to the next meeting. f. - Side Street - 15 mph Kim will work with Chief Anderson to compile a list of streets he feels should be changed. 15mph on City Street unless marked otherwise. Tabled until we have more information on the list. g. Replacing Unreadable Signage on Roads Public' Works has received missing road signs and will start to replace those. Willcontinually order and replace the unreadable signage as it ist turned into Kim. h. Church Street The mayor and council discussed and will have. John go out and look at pipe. . BlightedNuisances Houses Ordinances Mayor and Council discussed the Bugnted/Nusance House Ordinance, and it will have the 2nd reading at the next meeting. j. Hidden Meadows Brodriche Jackson brought Hidden Meadows paving back to the council. The bid is out and will be due on December 2nd. k. Police Truck Amanda Farley would like to bring the police truck forward for a vote. I. City Signs Amada Farley would like to have Welcome to the City, city limits, city buildings signs fort the city. We will bring it backi tot the next workshop. m. Police Car Auction The police car has not been added to gov deals. We will get a list from public works of the items for surplus and get that to Doug Kidd for Mondays Council meeting where it can be voted on and be declared surplus. III. New Business a. Temporary Use/Living in Campers Amandal Farley brought backt to the council the Temporary Use/Living in Campers> Attorney Doug Kidd will draw up an ordinance for review. b. Re-Discussion of Banks County Water Department Will come back to the next meeting with numbers from Commerce. c.D Discussion of Structure of Public Works Department The council discussed the structure of the public works department and split the water department and the grounds department within the department. IV. Matters from Mayor & Council V. Executive Session Richard Parr made a motion to go to executive session at 7:40 pm. Brodriche Jackson seconded the motion. All voted ini favor. Motion carried. VI.
