GRANBURY Minutes Granbury Regional Airport Advisory Board Regular Meeting Granbury Regional Airport Terminal 400 Howard Clemmons Granbury, Texas June 03, 2024 8:00 a.m. The Granbury Regional Airport Advisory Board met in regular session on Monday, June 03, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. Meeting was held at the Granbury Regional Airport Terminal, 400 Howard Clemmons Road, Granbury, Texas. Notice of said meeting, giving the date, place, and subject thereof, having been posted as prescribed by' V.T.C.A., Government Code, Chapter551, with the following members present: Jackie Vaughn, Chair Pat Abell, Board Member Lon Wimberley, Board Member John Roberts, Board Member Andy Rash, Board Member Larry French, Board Member Rick Huber, Board Member Ron Stowell, Board Member Cody Mathis, Director of Aviation Mickie Matlock, Deputy City Secretary Absent: Ralph Newton, Alternate 1.CALLTOORDER This regular meeting oft the Granbury Regional Airport Advisory Board was called to order at 8:01 a.m. by Chairperson Jackie Vaughn. A quorum of Board members was present. 2.1 Granbury Regional Advisory Board meeting minutes: March: 18, 2024 2.CONSIDER APPROVAL OFI MINUTES Larry French made a motion to approve the meeting minutes. Andy Rash seconded the motion. Minutes approved unanimously. GRANBURY 3.DISCUSSION 3.1 Personnel Update: Lynn Chambers has resigned, shet took an offert from American Airlines tol be ai flight attendant. Robert Morrow has joined the Granbury Regional Airport team. Robert started out at Texas International. Airport in 1976f for Continental, was part of ther merging of5 5 airlines in 1983, he earned 6y years of passengers service duringt the merger. He was a ramp: supervisort for 20 years at airports such as Houston, Montana, Denver and San Antonio. 3.2" Terminal building ceiling art: The arts commission has officially advertised thet terminal building ceiling art as a project "A Call for Artist". At few artists have visited the new1 terminal building to evaluate the ceiling areat they will be designing for. 3.3 Projects Update: Terminal Building: breakroom. Water and sewer: point. Electricity: Thet terminal building is roughly % complete, the exterior stonework is complete, the stucco is 90% complete. Interior- - all of the walls are complete; thet furniture has been ordered and should be delivered in. June. Appliances are still needed, refrigerators, coffee maker and microwave. There willl bet two refrigerators, one int the galley and one in the Are in the final phase, the boring operation is complete, it is backfilled, and the pipe is in place under the taxiway. The contractors are encountering a lot less rock on the final phase which is the 90-degree cut that runs to the termination Cody is working with United Coops Contract Project Manager updating him on thet t-hangar project. The project manager has been made aware that he has until about December to get thel highlines run. The highlines will start at Archer Court, hug the perimeter fence all the way downt tot thet termination point. Anyone who develops willl be responsible for plumbing Right off taxiway ECHO there is a site pad for the sixty new t-hangars, they should be pouring concrete in the coming Fuel operations need to be based at the new Airport Terminal, PGAL has provided a design for a new 3 bay truck depot, with roll up doors. There will possibly be enough contingency! left over from the Airport Terminal Building toi fully fundt the After following state rules and regulations for the bidding process, KSA was the lone submittal and is helping with the application process to combine federal funds/grants to help with the expansion of the existing fuel farm. Federal funding is not available for fuel farm construction, it is however, available for expansion. TXDOT agrees that Granbury Regional Airport is expanding the existing facility by relocating and adding capacity. The expansion/relocation site has been selected. The design for expanding, relocating and adding capacity is projected to take about 14 weeks. from that termination point to theirt facility. T-Hangar: Truck Depot: truck depot. Fuel: weeks. Projection for completion oft the sixty newt t-hangars is December. GRANBURY 3.4 Current TxDOT initiatives: Statewide project "Kilo" TXDOT has created a statewide project called "Project Kilo". This project will provide repairs for runways and taxiways throughout Texas. The state has assigned engineeringi firm Lochner. Cody is working with Mr. Chris Whitfield of Lochner, whom he has worked with on various projects in Waco. Mr. Whitfield and his team did a site visit at the end of May to verify work that needs to be done. The engineering team is going to try and get some additional seal coat on the apron area and address the potholes that have formed on taxiway ALPHA in the turn where it connects to taxiway FOXTROT. Cody believes the potholes are due to a base failure. Mr. Whitfield is going to see about extending the mill and overlay work from taxiway ECHO onto taxiway ALPHA to address this area of potholes. Taxiway ECHO consist of a partial milling, come back with an overlay, repaint. Same project will provide seal coat for runway 19. The runway will have to close for abouti two days, maxi three days, this will take place in September. 4.ADJOURN a.m. There being no further business, Chair Jackie Vaughn requested a motion to adjourn.
