Action Regarding Council, Staffa and Board Member Reports Staffliaison Suzanne Brooke shared information about the FY: 2024-2025 Budget and the Heath Holiday Market hosted by Hidden Creek and sponsored byt thel HEDC/HMBC to ensure: a Christmas event for the community while' Towne Center Parki is closed and the City eventi is on hiatus.. Additionally, she shared the newl landing page dedicated to the renovation ofTowne City Manager Kevin Lasher provided an update on the parksrenovation. Staff and Park Board leadership will meet weekly with Hill & Wilkinson and Kimley-Horn staff regarding the project. The goali is to be completed by December 2025 for a Grand Re-Opening at the Christmas in Mayor. Jeremiah McClure reported that Rockwall County area mayors met with Texas State Senator Bob Hall on the 89th Legislative Session beginning January 2025. Oni thel list of priorities is affordablel housing and possibly reducing city zoning and land-use rules and control. It was unanimous among the Mayors that taking zoning away: from local municipalities would have a detrimental impact as willi increasing MUD rights. Cities, including Heath, must be Center Park. President Saunders reported that staff and Board leadership were working on: finalizing the Economic Development Incentive. Agreement and the Ground Lease. Agreement with counsel. The goal was to bring the item to City Council at its October 22 meeting for presentation, He alsoi informed the Board that the Business name was changed from HBG"1 to "1880". 3.d Discussion and Action Regarding Re-Igniting an Expanded Marketing Plan for' The discussion and action. Reserve and Available City-Owned Properties. (J.Saunders). President Saunders asked Myles Hunter to provide ar report from the Marketing Committee's The Board reviewed past marketing with Brooke and discussed new opportunities including the right timing for launching. The Committee agreed that retaining the services ofar real estate consultant to list thej property on platforms such as the MLS: and other real estate marketing The Committee agreed to solicit several proposals from brokers for review and presentation to the full Board to take action. The Committee will also be re-evaluating businesses that fit the President Saunders asked Brooke toj present a Heath Life marketing presentation developed. Mayor McClure confirmed thei importance of marketing the vision and brand of Heath, including the outdoor recreation lifestyle and desiret toj preserve our open space.
