CITY OF SCHULENBURG SCHULENBURG, TX October 21, 2024 The City Council of the City of Schulenburg met in regular session on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 6:30 P.M. ini the Council Chambers located at 607 Upton. Avenue, Schulenburg, Texas. The elected officials present included Mayor, Connie Koopmann, Alderwoman, Kathy Kleiber, Aldermen, Greg Thomas, Frank Wick III, Roger Moellenberndt, and Clarence Ahlschlager. City Staff present were City Administrator, Tami Walker, Operations Manager, Darryl Moeller, Police Visitors included Darrell Vyvjala of the Schulenburg Sticker, Pastor Lemae Higgs, Joshua Mayor Koopmann called role. She continued that the City received two RFPS from Grant Works and Langford Community Management. A committee scored the packets and Langford scored the highest. Mrs. Walker announced to Council that at the moment, there is not a definite project the City is aiming for. However, it will likely be something with water or adding to the GLO funds the City Alderman Moellenberndt made a motion, seconded by Alderman Wick, to award Administrative Services to Langford Community Management. The motion passed unanimously. Mrs. Walker led discussion on hiring a Forensic Structural Engineer for the remodel of City Hall. and subsequent. Mrs. Walker announced that the Forensix bid is $500 higher, but she recommends them due to the fact that Terracon wants the building completely cleared out. Mrs. Alderman Thomas stated that he "Would like to save the building as much as we can if feasible." Alderwoman Kleiber added that she would like to see a company with connections to the area. Alderman Thomas made a motion, seconded by Alderwoman Kleiber, to hire Forensix Design Mrs. Walker led discussion on setting a date, place, and time to conduct a walk-through of City Alderman Wick asked if he could go one day by himself because he's not sure of his work schedule.
