1252  MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING Monday, October 28, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.  The Decatur City Council workshop was called to order by Mayor McQuiston at 5:31 p.m. and declared a moment of silence. Lisset Caramantin led the pledge. Those in attendance included Mayor Mike McQuiston and Council members: Eddie. Allen, Will Carpenter, Darlene Hilton, Debra Jackson, Council members Melinda Reeves and Jake Hayes were absent. QUARTERLY DEPARTMENT REPORTS  Fire Department - Hear and discuss quarterly report by Fire Chief Deroy Bennett including Planning - Hear and discuss quarterly report as presented by Planning Director Ragland, including relevant and follow-up discussion with Council and other staff regarding the following Building Inspections - Hear and discuss quarterly report by Chief Building Official Wayne Smith including relevant and follow-up discussion with Council and other staff. Public Works and Airport - Hear and discuss quarterly report by Public' Works Director/Airport Manager Greg Hall, including relevant and follow-up discussion with Council and other staff. Library Director Wilbert and the Library Foundation presented the council with a CITIZENS COMMENTS AND ANNOUNCEMENIS. CONSIDER FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, TEXAS, TO. ADOPT THE: 2021 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE ORDINANCE  Jackson seconded the motion. CONSIDER FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, TEXAS, TO ADOPT THE 2023 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE AND THE FOLLOWING 2021 INTERNATIONAL CODES: BUILDING, MECHANICAL, PLUMBING, RESIDENTIAL, FUEL GAS, ENERGY CONSERVATION, EXISTING BUILDING, AND SWIMMING AND SPA ALONG WITH RELATED LOCAL AMENDMENTS.  ORDINANCE 2024-11-31 First reading held.  7. CONSIDER: AND TAKE, APPROPRIATE ACTION TO AWARD.
