Argyle Crime Control & Prevention District Notice of Regular Meeting Thursday, November 12, 2024  Nigyle Crime 01 * TEXAS CmtoiDsis  *  *  Notice is hereby given as required by Title 5, Chapter 551.041 of the Government Code that the Argyle Crime Control and Prevention District will meet for a Regular Meeting November 12, 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Argyle Town Hall, 308 Denton Street, Argyle, Texas. The Items listed below are placed on the agenda for discussion and/or action.  A. CALL REGULAR SESSION TO ORDER 1. Determine ifa Quorum Present  Called to order at 6:00pm and a quorum was present. In attendance were Bill Reaves, Carla Wojtal, Al Dourgarian, Calvin Bond, Brian Wolfe, Justin Davis, and Lourdes  Rodriguez. B. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE American Flag  Texas Flag: "Honor the Texas Flag;lpledge allegiance to thee Texas, one state under  God, one and indivisible"  C OPEN FORUM  The opportunity for citizens to address the Argyle Crime Control and Prevention District on any non-agenda item (limit 5 minutes per person); however, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Argyle Crime Control and Prevention District from discussing issues which the public has not been given seventy-two (72) hour notice. Issues raised may be referred to Town Staff for research and possible Open forum opened at 6:01pm. No citizens in attendance, sO forum closed at  future action. 6:01pm.  D. MINUTES & FINANCIALS 1. Minutes  a. Review and Accept the Argyle Crime Control & Prevention District- Regular Meeting- - September 9, 2024 minutes. Att. A - Minutes  Motion to accept the September 9, 2024 minutes as presented made by Al Dourgarian and  seconded by. Justin Davis. Motion passed unanimously.  2. Financials  a. Discussion and Consideration of the CCPD financial report. Att. B  Financials  E.B BOARD OFFICER ELECTION  Crime Control & Prevention District November 12, 2024  Page 1of2    1. Elect President and Vice-President for the FY2025. Current President and Vice- Justin Davis nominated Bill Reaves for President for FY2025. Motion made by Carla Wojtal and AID Dourgarian nominated Carla Wojtal for Vice-President for FY2025. Motion made by Bill  President may retain positions.  seconded by. Justin Davis. Motion passed unanimously. Reaves and seconded by Calvin Bond. Motion passed unanimously.  F. OLD BUSINESS-N/A G. NEW BUSINESS  1. Choose dates for FY25 meetings. There must be a budget workshop date in  March/April and a Budget Public Hearing in May The board chose thet following dates for FY25 meetings. Monday. January: 13, 2025 @ 6:00pm Monday, March 13, 2025 @ 6:00pm for al Budget Workshop Thursday, May 1, 2025 @ 6:00pm for Budget Public Hearing Monday, September 8, 2025 @ 6:00pm  2. Discussion ofi format for 2025 Officer Appreciation Banquet  Members discussed the format fori the 2025 Officer Appreciation Banquet. It was discussed that there was concern from the Town Council regarding the method in which donations were requested from local businesses, specifically the lack of clarity surrounding goods or services being provided in exchange for monetary or item donations and the question surrounding the necessity of donations considering that CCPD is tax funded. Members agreed that the policy in which donations are requested will need to be reviewed and updated to ensure clarity and uniformity among all contact with businesses regarding donations. Members also agreed that the letter provided to local businesses needs to include a disclaimer to state that no goods or Itwas discussed among the members that they would like to obtain the Officers' input and feedback about the banquet, specifically about whether they prefer to have the guests limited to themselves and their plus ones and/or in as smaller venue (Little.
