In late June the Sharks held a draft party as the Sharks had secured the first pick in the draft. Over the summer Arena Authority staff worked with City and arena staff on the arena Transportation and Parking Management Plan (TPMP) inj preparation of thel BART Construction TPMP. The stainless-steel exterior was cleaned during the summer. A new concession area was constructed along the concourse at the south doors. On September 11, the Arena conducted an emergency response exercise. The Sharks opened the regular season on October 10 against the St. Louis Blues. Arena Authority staffi is now working on thel BART Construction TPMP. On a side note, Authority staff met with City Council member Peter Ortiz to discuss the Arena Authority's South Campus Operations Team. Following, the tour, the Stadium Committee made recommendations on the proposed capital plan to the Arena Authority Board of Directors.
