Mayor Walker called to order a Public Hearing to discuss, with the public, plans to increase water and trash All council members were present but no business of any kind was discussed, other than to answer questions and explain the need for rates to There were only two individuals present from the public and council The question came up as to whether individuals or commercial concerns could be exempted from paying the increased amounts on locations where Itwas explained that the water system was only possible if all property owners agreed to pay the base, whether or not water was actually used. Some elected to continue using their wells, but agreed to the conditions SO the town could qualify to get the water system installed. We will research to determine if an exemption could or should be granted to those locations. Council member Askvig noted that the Fire Department would be expected to show up for those owners if required and not use less water. There were no other questions or comments, and no additional interested At approximately 7:00 P.M. council member Keith motioned to adjourn the public hearing, seconded by council member Watts.
